Peter works with pro se litigants in the Southern District of New York. He assists with a wide range of matters at all phases of the litigation process. He assists with drafting guides, templates, and fact patterns for pro se litigants, in addition to coordinating with other organizations and members of the private bar to secure limited scope and full representation those in need. Prior to joining NYLAG, Peter worked for Barclays Bank PLC, Serpe Ryan LLP, and was a member of a global ecumenical community founded by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Peter graduated from Princeton University in 2014.

Itzel works with low-income tenants who are facing housing issues in the borough of Manhattan. She conducts intakes, staffs the NYLAG office at housing court once a week, and assists attorneys on individual cases, as needed. Prior to joining NYLAG, she served as a paralegal at Philadelphia Legal Assistance in their Farmworker Rights’ unit and Low Income Taxpayer Clinic through the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship’s Haverford House Fellowship. Itzel received a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Latin American Studies from Haverford College and is a native Spanish speaker.

Adam Herron
Adam staffs the legal clinics at Harlem Hospital and Metropolitan Hospital. Before joining LegalHealth, Adam was a staff attorney at NMIC Legal Services, where he focused mainly on housing issues. Adam received his JD from Georgetown University Law Center and his LL.M. in Environmental Law from NYU School of Law. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he majored in biology. Prior to law school, Adam worked at the Mayo Clinic and has over a decade of experience as a clinical laboratory technologist, primarily in the area of cancer genetics.
